At ToolsPlus, we take privacy seriously and work together to handle your data responsibly. Our privacy program is tailored to meet both legal requirements as well as your needs through the following pillars:

  • Privacy by design: we integrate privacy by design into our products and workflows by following guiding principles from the start of any product or workflow development rather than bolting it on afterward. Guiding principles include minimizing data processing, collection, and storage, assigning staff responsibility for managing privacy, and establishing reporting mechanisms.

  • Regular training: ToolsPlus staff that access and process ToolsPlus customer personal data are trained on how to handle it. They are bound by our Information Security Policy to maintain data confidentiality and security.

  • Transparency: we assist customers efficiently and transparently if they have questions about how ToolsPlus handles their data. We share updates to our terms and subprocessors on our .

Security

Protecting our customers' information and their user's privacy is extremely important to us. We are entrusted with some of our customers' most valuable data, so we ensure to offer comprehensive data security and protection through a proactive approach, policies and continous training.

Though rare, data incidents may happen. We will assist with notifying regulators of breaches and promptly communicating any breaches to customers and users.

International data transfers

As a company with a global customer base and operations, ToolsPlus must be able to transfer and access data worldwide. We understand and respect the rules for onward transfers of personal data, and offer customers a robust international data transfer framework as a part our . This agreement contains specific provisions to assist customers in their compliance with the GDPR within the EEA and UK and applicable US data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Your data and third parties

ToolsPlus will not share your information absent proper process. Whenever we share your data with ToolsPlus service providers, we remain accountable to you for how it is used. We require all service providers to undergo a thorough diligence process to ensure our customers' personal data receives adequate protection that is at least meeting our own standards. This process includes reviewing the data ToolsPlus plans to share with the service provider and the associated level of risk, the supplier’s security policies, measures, and whether the supplier has a mature privacy program that respects the rights of data subjects.
