# Jira Cloud for Intercom

Jira Cloud for Intercom is a free Intercom app that lets you create and link Jira work items from your Intercom Inbox. Together with the paid [Jira companion app](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217371/intercom-for-jira?hosting=cloud\&tab=overview), you can unlock additional features, such as commenting and unlinking work items. Jira Cloud for Intercom works even better together with the **Jira integration.** This combo allows you to link and unlink Intercom conversations to Jira work items, have updates to Jira work items posted as notes to linked Intercom conversations, and even reopen linked conversations when the Jira work item is closed.
